Inmates are authorized to have visitation once a week with one visitor per day. See information below.

6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

NO EXCEPTIONS



JAIL CELL PHONE CALLS CAN BE MADE DAILY WITH SOME RESTRICTIONS. YOUR INMATE MUST HAVE MONEY ON THEIR BOOKS TO CONDUCT PHONE CALLS. 

You must call ahead and set an appointment

Please contact the Shannon County Detention center and speak to any Detention Officer to set a appointment. Your appointment will be a specific day and a specific time. You will be responsible for making it to your appointment on time. It is possible you MAY be able to reschedule, but there may be many Inmates who all want their turn. If you are late, we will try to accommodate you, but there is no guarantee. 

Bring your valid government issue photo identification

Bring your valid government issue photo identification with you to visitation. Expect 100% of the time to show your ID to jail staff to verify your identity and have a quick background check done for wants and warrants. If you have a warrant, you will be arrested and have the ability to bond out if your warrant allows it. 

You must stick to your allotted amount of time

If you are late, you will lose your visitation time slot. visitation is on a timer. You cannot have extra time. There is a countdown clock, so expect to have the call disconnected as soon as it hits zero.

IN PERSON VISITS WILL BE THURSDAYS AND FRIDAYS, BETWEEN 1:00 PM AND 3:00 PM.

To begin your visit

To begin your visitation, all you have to do is sit and wait. Once the Detention Officer sees both you and your Inmate are in front of the monitor, the visitation will begin. When your visit ends, you are welcome to stand up and leave if your business is concluded. 

Conduct

Simply put, behave yourselves. Do not become loud or argumentative. Do not damage any jail property. Do not make disparaging or threatening comments to or about staff or law enforcement. Do not discuss drug related activity. Do not discuss criminal activity. Do not discuss sexual activity. Do not disrobe or display your body in any sexual way. Appropriate clothing is required to be admitted into visitation. Do not discuss or plan escapes in any way. Do not discuss or plan smuggling contraband into the jail facility.
